Tri-Mer Products Offer Best Control Technology Available for Fine Particulate and Acid Gas Emissions
Tri-Mer's UltraCat Catalyst filters remove particulate (PM), acid gases
such as SO2 and HCl, and NOx in a single all-in-one system. UltraCat
catalyst filters are composed of fibrous ceramic materials that can
withstand high temperatures up to 1650° F. The filter walls with nanobits
of highly-efficient SCR catalyst for NOx control. Destruction of NOx is
effective at temperatures as low as 350° F. Acid gases are removed in
the same system with integrated dry sorbent injection of sodium bicarbonate, trona, or lime. Dioxins are also destroyed by the proprietary catalyst.
The Tri-Mer ceramic filter systems provide much higher temperature
capabilities than fabric filter baghouses, and much better performance yet
still cost competitive with ESP. Total operating costs are lower. In addition,
filters have unique multi-pollutant features including NOx and dioxin
treatment not possible with fabric filters or ESP. UltraCat has become

For applications below 300°F, Tri-Mer's Cloud Chamber System (CCS)
treats PM2.5, fine, submicron, ultrafine, and condensable particulate,
as well as PM10, while simultaneously wet scrubbing soluble gases.
The CCS is an attractive alternative to wet ESP. The Cloud Chamber
Scrubber utilizes charged droplets – not charged particles – and
consequently requires less energy. Acid gases and other soluble
gases are scrubbed at 99% efficiency.
NOx with PM is treated by the UltraCat catalyst filter systems. For
NOx removal on applications without PM in the stream, Tri-Mer
offers two distinctive stand-alone solutions, both with exceptional
track records. UltraSCR comes in both low-temp and high temp versions,
covering a temperature range of 350°F to 900°F.
For colder sources and/or exceptionally low removal requirements –
as low as 1 ppmv – the Tri-NOx Multi-Chem system accommodates
any combination of NO and NO2, and guarantees a clear stack.
